The Seminar
This is an opportunity for an update on the Resource Discovery Network
and specifically
EEVL. RDN provides effective access to high quality Internet resources
for the UK
learning and research communities. Over the next couple of years, RDN
will develop to
provide rich entry points to a full range of Internet, bibliographic,
documentary and data
resources. EEVL (the Edinburgh Engineering Virtual Library) is a
UK-based guide to
engineering information on the Internet.

Linda Kerr graduated from Edinburgh University, and obtained her
post-graduate qualification in library
and information management from the University of Northumbria. She
started work
with Gateshead Council's Libraries and Arts Service, and worked on a
number of
projects, including European funded Telematics projects. Linda moved to
Edinburgh in
1995, and worked for 18 months as Community Information Officer for West
