This event is designed to help those with some experience of Internet usage to gain a better understanding of how to exploit the Internet as a component in the service for 'customers', including SMEs (small to medium sized enterprises). How will this event help you? It will help you to understand the various methods of 'navigating' through this large, but uncatalogued collection of information. In particular the focus on 'search engines' will enable you to: * identify the most relevant search service for an enquiry * choose the most appropriate search technique to use * interpret results The session on Web Site Basics will help you to assess what is involved, technically and financially, in setting up and maintaining a Web site for your own organisation or for some cooperative project.
