In response to demand, Inter-Library Services of the National Library of Scotland circulated Scottish libraries with a Proposal to introduce a Scottish ILL Rate (SILLR) of £4.50 (reviewable annually) for loans supplied between Scottish libraries. Replies show that 147 libraries (56.3% ) across all sectors accepted the Proposal and it will, therefore, be introduced with effect from 1 October. A letter is in the process of being sent to all libraries which responded to the Proposal. Details of the libraries participating in SILLR will be posted on the NLS website (http://www.nls.uk) as soon as possible. A Scottish Region ILL request form is being devised for the use of those libraries which have expressed interest in having one. SILLR will ‘tie in’, operationally, with the recently announced CONARLS scheme. Scottish libraries which have not yet agreed to SILLR can still do so by contacting the undersigned. I shall also be happy to answer any queries. -- Pat McKenzie Head, Inter-Library Services National Library of Scotland 33 Salisbury Place EDINBURGH Scotland EH9 1SL E-mail (personal): [log in to unmask] E-mail (general/ILL): [log in to unmask] Tel: +(44)(0)131-466 3815 (direct) +(44)(0)131-226 4531 Ext. 3315 (via switchboard) Fax: +(44)(0)131-466 3814 (direct) 25.9.00 %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
