Many of you will be aware that today is the date on which Alison Sproston - until now chairperson of the European Innopac User Group - starts work at the British Museum. I'm sure we all wish her well in her new job. Following her departure from the Innopac fold (!), I shall do my best to fulfil the functions of Chair of the User Group until the Annual Meeting in September. Please bear with me as I find my way, and I am very grateful to the other Committee members for their promise of help. At the European IUG Conference in September, it was suggested that a specialist workshop should be organised on the subject of electronic resources - an opportunity for staff from member libraries to exchange experience on cataloguing and managing electronic resources within an Innopac system. The Committee discussed this at our meeting last week and thought of organising the workshop for a day in late February or early March in Liverpool. There would be one or two more formal presentations, but also ample opportunity to share ideas and air problems concerning ejournals and other electronic resources. If you would be interested in attending an event of this kind, could you please send an email in reply (to me personally, not the list!) so that we can gauge the numbers likely to attend. Any suggestions which will help us to plan the day in detail are also most welcome. Thank you.
