We are using SilverLinker with SilverPlatter databases . It is a very useful tool, specially new versions WebSpirs (4.2) and ERL (4.11). These versions includes a SilverLinker module that allow you to choose what providers and e-journals you want to appear on the screen (those you have a suscription with). Therefore only lively full text options will be shown in each SilverPlatter database. SilverLinker installation is easy and weekly updates from Quikdata solution are available. ----- Original Message ----- From: Rosamund Morgan <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Friday, October 20, 2000 11:16 AM Subject: Promotion of e-journals > We are finding at the Didsbury site that, in spite of our > encouragement both at the Enquiry Desk and during induction and > research sessions, our students are not using our e-journals as > much as they could be and so we are looking for ways of > promoting them.We are thinking at the moment in terms of a > printed leaflet and something on the library web site.
