The role of the cancer database information officer will be to assist the project manager to develop the database by ensuring close liaison with cancer information organisations, software providers and pilot sites in order to achieve the successful piloting of this high quality prototype database. The cancer database information officer will also contribute to the evaluation of the pilot and processing of modifications leading to full accessibility of database. We are looking for an graduate with information scence/librarian qualifications, extensive database and internet experience and the ability to work to deadlines. A commitment to consumer health information and knowledge of the voluntary sector are essential requirments.
