I am planning to buy a petrological Microscope with Image analyser software + accessories. As I know some of you will have specialised in the Image analysis I would request you to inform me the best of the software for image analysis of rocks and minerals in thin sections alongwith the important accesssories. A digital Camera or CCTV/ camera or what other important parts/software are required especially for identificatin of minerals, %age volume, grain size, shape, strain effects, angle measurements, qphase analysis, grey level studies etc. and also for engineering properties of aggregates and concrete etc. Please also inform which is the best Image analyser/software for above-out of the following Performa Invoice-
