Hello. I'll go ahead and join the fray. I'm Rose Silpayamanant, a twenty-year-old undergraduate at DePauw Univeristy in rural Indiana. I'm double-majoring in Greek and Philosophy, but very active in Women's Studies. I'm hoping to be able to go on to grad school in Islamic Studies, but that's all still up in the air and I have another year to sort things out. I'm in the middle of an interesting and fun study for a Women's Studies Research Methods class on American (college-student) perspectives on Muslim women compared to the views of American women (also college student) converts to Islam. My husband and I share our too-small apartment facing a too-large fraterity with two small turtles and a piranha. I'm excited about seeing what will spring up on this list, and wanted to get my introductions in before those with more illustrious records frighten me from joining in.
