Social Inclusion

The implications for museum and gallery educators

GEM LONDON/ENGAGE JOINT TRAINING DAY

Venue:  Dulwich Picture Gallery
Date:   Thursday 23 November
Time:   10.00am-4.00pm
Cost:   £15 Gem and Engage members, £25 non-members (includes lunch)
Travel: A short journey from Victoria to West Dulwich and London Bridge to North Dulwich Station

The objective of this day is to raise awareness about policy on Social Inclusion both in light of the recent DCMS document and current practice in the field.  It is designed for both those who are in the planning stages and for more experienced educators.  It aims to increase confidence in providing an appropriate service via a combination of case studies, policy discussion and practical activities.

This will be a unique opportunity for both Gem and Engage members to find out more together and develop strategies for the way forward.  There will be an opportunity to explore the newly reopened Dulwich Picture Gallery and meet fellow practitioners over a good lunch!
