CALL FOR PERFORMANCE AND SESSION PROPOSALS

"EXPANDING HORIZONS"
the second biennial International Museum Theatre and Live Interpretation
Conference
hosted by the International Museum Theatre Alliance for Europe  (IMTAL-
Europe)
will take place in London
September 21 - 24 2001.

Last year's inaugural conference in Boston attracted a wide range of
international speakers and museum theatre/live interpretation performances.

Target audience: Museums, galleries, historic/natural sites who are
considering or already offering museum theatre or live interpretation as
part of the visitor experience; museum theatre/live interpretation
companies, associations, consultants, individual enactors and other
interested parties.

The conference will continue the debate started in the "Going Live"
conference which took place in Bradford several years ago.

Its daily themes and venues will offer something for everyone, including a
special introductory day on Friday 21st September for those who have yet to
dip a toe into the world of museum theatre or live interpretation.

Day One: A celebration of museum theatre - Natural History & Science Museums
Day Two: If only these walls could talk - Tower of London
Day Three: Not just for kids - Natural History & Science Museums
Day Four: Evaluation and ammunition - MOMI and NFT

Enactors from all over the world will be coming to showcase their talents.
Performance/demonstration sessions (30, 60 or 90 minutes) and
workshop/lecture slots (60 or 90 minutes) may now be booked by museum,
gallery, historic site, interpretation company or individual enactors who
wish to show the world what they can do!   Please apply to the e-mail
addresses below for a participation form.   Deadline for participation
session proposals: January 20th 2001.
