This is the FINAL posting.

The course materials for the first module of the web-based
archaeology course on hominid evolution are currently being drawn up. 
Amongst others, the module's content includes the following:
1. The link between genetics and evolution, and the role played by
natural selection
2. The different theorectical positions within archaeology, e.g.
structuralism, functionalism, post-processualism)
3. The basic principals of phylogeny, classification and nomenclature
3. An outline of the geological processes and their role in producing
the fossil record
4. Relative and chemical dating methods
5. Excavation procedures.
