but i think we can benefit from an effort to "relate" the one
to the other, not to say they are the same -- we can hardly do
that , given how ambiguous a term KATHARSIS is in the
first place . . . but keeping aristotle in mind as we ponder
the relationship between real violence, representations of
violence, and simulacra of violence can only make our
deliberations richer
