I am trying to track down a PhD thesis which was referenced in the 1989 CIRIA report (Simpson et al) on rising groundwater: Chisholm, F.A. "Rising Groundwater Levels", PhD thesis, University of London. Conventional methods (i.e. inter-library loans) have been unsuccessful, and have thrown doubt on the exisitence of this work (which could be in civil engineering, geology, geography, hydrogeology, etc..). Has anyone ever come across it, or have any suggestions as to where I might look next?
