Hello, I'm a 15 year old male, middle class family. I'm a sophomore in high school so I guess I'm pretty open-minded about everything. So anything I say should not be taken as critcism. I think that communism would work fine and dandy if greed and crime was eliminated from the world... but there will always be people that want more. If taxes of people less than $60,000 are eliminated, how much money would the government lose? Also you're telling me then that somebody making $70,000-$80,000 a year will actually make LESS than the $60,000 person because taxes will be taken out. Free child care? Who will take care of the child? How will they be paid? Taxes? Free education? So more tax money given to schools. Decrease army? In all honesty, communism isn't the most popular form of government, some countries might be angered if we became a communist nation, therefore they might show hostility towards us, yet our army will be smaller to defend ourselves... Also what about unions and strikes in places such as police, teachers, any government workers, are those legal? If so, the whole country could fall because of police striking and crime growing, whole markets coming to a halt just because steelworkers strike, just like back in the early 1900's. Yet how can we help national liberation and anti-imperialst struggles if our army is brought home and decreased? I think this would be the perfect system, in a perfect world. I'm an open-minded person, but I'm not easily persuaded, if I can be convinced, anybody could. Hope to hear from you all.
