Uhmm. Sydney's final celabration for the Olympic Gamnes... if I remember well, in my little village, Serre, when it was the feast of the Holy Virgin of the Olive Trees the folk people used to shoot in the sky every 15 august an even more striking set of fire-works. (or do I have a wrong memory of it, being two or three at the time?) It did not seem too exaggerated to me. Just what one would expect.
