Our listowner is probably too modest to mention it, so I'll simply paste
in this news item I just saw on the Durham website, which proves
sometimes prizes do go to the right people:

Richard Caddel (Assistant Librarian and Director of the Basil Bunting
Poetry Centre) has won one of the annual awards from the
American Fund for Poetry in recognition of his contribution to
literature. His recent publications in the US include the anthology
(edited
with Peter Quartermain) "OTHER: British and Irish Poetry since 1970"
(Wesleyan University Press 1999) and his latest collection of
poetry "Underwriter" (Poetry New York 1999).
