RECORDS MANAGER (Operations)

(Salary £15,210 - £18,372)

The Document and Records Management Service, Staffordshire County Council is responsible for supplying a wide range of record and information management services to client departments within the Council. The Unit is committed to excellence in the provision of all its services.

The Records Manager (Operations) will play an active part in the professional management team of the service and assist the Corporate Records Manager in the provision of record centre services and the management of the service records centres. The duties will include day to day management of records services including the transfer and destruction of records, overseeing the record request service, ensuring the maintenance and security of record centres, supervision of record centre staff, provision of management information. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the delivery of customer training. The post is based at the County Council Record Centre, Stafford.

You will possess a relevant degree and a postgraduate qualification in records/information management or equivalent. Experience in a professional records management role is desirable but not essential. You will need a thorough understanding of current professional practices and issues. You will have excellent organisational and analytical skills and be a confident communicator.
