Archivist
Salary:  £19,800 - £26,680 pa (inclusive of supplement); 2 Year Fixed Term Contract

The Corporation of London Records Office [CLRO] requires an Archivist. Your main duties will be to supervise the CLRO searchroom, advising users and answering enquiries relating to the archives. You will also have an opportunity to undertake a range of other archival duties. You should have a good honours degree and a recognised postgraduate qualification in archive studies. You should also have good communication skills (oral & written) with the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Experience with information technology will be an advantage (although training will be given). The post would also be suitable for recent graduates completing their course in archive studies this year.

The Corporation of London Records Office at Guildhall in the City of London is responsible for the official archives of the Corporation, ranging in date from 1067 to the present day. Currently it has a total permanent staff of eleven, of whom six are archivists and two are conservators.

The post of Archivist is on a 2 year fixed term contract.
