The following academic positions have just been advertised: University of Warwick ===================== Lecturships in Statistics ========================= The Department of Statistics has vacancies for two lecturers in Statistics to commence on or after January 2001. Applicants should have a PhD in Statistics or an equivalent qualification and should be active researchers. They should have interests in any branch of mainstream Statistics, and have an enthusiasm for teaching at both graduate and undergraduate levels. One of these vacancies arises from the resignation of Dr Richardson to take up an academic post at the University of Washington USA. The other is a new post. The appointments are suitable for theoretical statisticians working in any area of statistics. The ideal candidate will have research interests in time series, forecasting, Bayesian inference or multivariate statistics, but statisticians or applied probabilists with a strong research record in other areas are encouraged to apply. The appointments will be made at any point on the Lecturer Grade B scale: £24,227 p.a. - £30,967 p.a.
