Computer software will be reviewed and the principles underlining the algorithms outlined. The course will cover classical segregation analysis, parametric and non-parametric linkage analysis, and association studies based on case control and family data. Example data analyses will be presented by guest lecturer Dr Cathryn Lewis, from the Division of Medical and Molecular Genetics, Guy's Hospital, London.
