PhD Studentship at the Norwegian Computing Center, Oslo Funding is available for a three year PhD grant on the subject of non-stationary, non-Gaussian space-time modelling, with particular application to rainfall data. The candidate will work at NR in Oslo and her/his PhD will be awarded by the Department of Mathematics of the University of Oslo. Candidates should have a good degree in a subject with a large statistical content, and preferably some knowledge of spatial and/or temporal modelling. An interest in environmental modelling would also be an advantage. Norsk Regnesentral (NR, the Norwegian Computing Center) is a research institute with expertise in the field of statistics and mathematical modelling. It employs around 30 statisticians on a wide range of applied and research projects in both the public and private sectors.
