Sir Kenneth Calman Vice-Chancellor and Warden, University of Durham (former Chief Medical Officer) Some Aspects of Risk Scares and alerts on health issues seem to occur with increasing frequency. This presentation will cover some aspects of risk, including the use of language, public perceptions, communication of risk, the precautionary principle, and dealing with incidents.
