The first round of consultation consists of a set of questionnaires that have been sent to a targeted list of individuals and organisations with experience of submitting and appraising NICE submissions, and academic experts in the UK and elsewhere. A copy of these questionnaires is also available on the NICE website at http://www.nice.org.uk (technology appraisals section) and anybody who is interested is invited to submit a response. The closing date for this consultation round is 18th August. The draft revised guidance will be made available for the second round of consultation in late August - early September.
