Manufacturing Statistician - Eli Lilly , Basingstoke

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As a Statistician, the successful candidate will be responsible for
supporting Manufacturing, Packaging, Engineering, Quality Control
Laboratories and QA/QC.

NATURE OF THE WORK
Statistical Process Control (SPC):
Will be an expert in the use of SPC and will be used as a
resource across the site.

Data Analysis:   Will be expected to maintain currency with respect
to statistical methodologies, to maintain proficiency in applying
new and varied methods to the analysis of data, and to be competent
in justifying methods selected. Will use statistical software such
as JMP and Excel to analyse data.

Communication of Analysis Results:   Will be responsible for
communicating study results via regulatory submissions, internal
reports, oral presentations in group settings and one to one with
key customers. Will also provide direction for further studies, when
necessary, based on the current results.

Training:   Will be involved in teaching various statistical courses
such as Basic Statistics and SPC. Will be involved with the planning
and execution of workshops to help facilitate statistical thinking
across the various departments. Will teach software such as Excel
and JMP to analyse data.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Skills:  Leadership skills, Strategic thinking, Self-Management.

Education:  PhD, MSc or BSc in Statistics or with
           significant Statistics content;  or C.Stat.
