Hi Ben: You could also try looking in The Writers' and Artists YearBook which your local library should have - that's got lots of magazines and publishers listed and used to have a do's and don'ts chapter. There's also a book by Peter Finch published by Seren which is aimed at beginning writers - its name escapes me but perhaps other members will know the name. There's also 2 Bloodaxe Books which are helpful: Paul Hyland: Getting Into Poetry Peter Sansom: Writing Poems I'd also recommend joining a writers' group/workshop. The internet will give you feedback but it's always good to meet other writers face to face and share problems, ideas,etc. All part of the process.
