Just a point about this listserv. Compared to  the American RM listerv this
one  is  a lot more stuffy, dare i say anal. People get shouted down for
making humourist contributions (well that's debatable)  or daring to make
the odd slightly controversial statement. I think we should 'chill out.' So
what if on a Friday people want to relax and pretend they are on Radio 4.
The reason I think there is not much to report for the society's newsletter
is that people are to afraid to contribute in case someone gets on their
high horse and starts to criticise them. 

I think we should  learn from our American colleagues and learn to relax a
little. Humour and the odd daft question is what make life a little more
interesting.
