Oh dear Can we not afford to have a laugh on a Friday afternoon once in a while? Is life so serious? I, for one, was heartened to see that my fellow archivists were not conforming to the stereotype po-faced, cardigan clad with socks and sandals (ooh there's another debate..) By the way, following on from Jenny Moran's point on racial stereotypes, what about class ? I have a pronounced and rather splendid 'sarf london' accent which means that the borough archivist is constantly mistaken for the cleaner! Anybody else? Not that I want to generate another 100 messages or we'll all be in the doghouse.
