Subject: High Fat Diet and Sports performance
A recommended intake of fats from all sources would provide some 30% of the
total calorie requirement with vegetable fats constituting two-thirds of
intake. Cholesterol intake should be regulated: one authority recommends no
more than 300mg daily for the average 70kg man (one egg provides about 250mg
cholesterol) but there is so
much individual variation in fat metabolism and energy levels that
scepticism should be maintained. The more exercise the subject takes, the
more efficiently can he handle all forms of diet. Inactivity is associated
with dietary excess and biological disadvantages. (Ref: Sports and Medicine

Hope this helps
