Urban Districts UDC 1872-1972
Rural Districts RDC 1872-1972
Parish Council (PC) 1894-date
County Councils CC 1888-date
Municipal Boroughs (MBC)1835-1972
Corporations (Corp) ancient - date
City Councils CC ? - date
Borough Councils (BC) 1972-date
I may be a year or two out on some of the earlier dates as I am quoting
