Much depends on what you are looking for.
If you want perfectly correct text, then the costs are going to be around £2.50
per page (DEM7.50) as this would involve proofing. However, if you wish to have
a quick but 'dirty' approach using Adobe capture, the cost could be as low as
12p (36 pfg) per page.
One additional factor could be the language - Adobe capture won't care whether
the text is in German or English as long as you have the correct international
setting selected. The cost of conventional OCR, which involves proof-reading,
could vary dramatically depending on whether it was being handled in the native
language or not.
I have the names of some bureaux who are able to do the 'capture' at reasonable
prices in the UK. If you would like further details please get in touch.
