EPRESS is an eLib funded project which has developed tools to aid in
the administrative production of web delivered electronic journals.
Central to the service are a series of online databases that help
track the progress and flow of articles and review items. The aim of
EPRESS is to reduce the administrative and technical burden of
electronic publishing.
EPRESS is now seeking new users who are willing to use the databases
and aid in further development to add new features and enhancements.
If you are already producing, or putting together a team to produce,
an electronic journal and you think that a purpose built
administration system might help you, then please contact Stuart
Peters <[log in to unmask]> for further details. EPRESS
particularly seeks journals which have sound institutional or
financial backing.
Minimal technical knowledge is required to use these databases; any
technical issues will be resolved by EPRESS.
A fully working demonstration database is available online and if you
would like username and password details to let you in, email Stuart
Peters. Sociological Research Online and the Journal of Artificial
Societies and Social Simulation already use the system successfully.
