MIXED REALITY LABORATORY
RESEARCH ASSISTANTSHIP
COLOUR FEATURE DETECTION AND TRACKING
Applications are invited for a vacant Research Assistantship in Computer
Vision at the University of Nottingham's new Mixed Reality Laboratory.
The post is available for 15 months in the first instance (though it is
anticipated that further support will become available) and is concerned
with the extraction and tracking of colour image features. The
successful candidate will contribute to two externally funded projects.
One, EU-funded, project involves the extraction and tracking of colour
regions in sequences of images of children involved in collaborative
story telling. The other is supported by EPSRC and centres upon the
identification and description of edges in colour images of material
samples under stress.
The post is tenable from January 1st 2000, salary up to 18,275
depending upon qualifications and experience.
