I was wondering if anyone could offer any assistance with how to go
about tracking down German war veterans.
I finished my German degree at Edinburgh three years ago, and I'm now
working as an assistant producer on a television series called
"WarMonths." The series is about the dramatic events that took place
at the start of World War II between 1939 and 1941. Each programme
will featureinterviews with war veterans and other people from both
sides, who remember stories from the first two years of the war.
I'm researching stories for the German part of the series, and was
wondering if anyone can put me in touch with German war veterans
or any other 'Zeitzeugen' with interesting stories from this
period.
I'd also be very grateful for any contact information for German
Veterans Associations, or any other organisations that you think
might be able to help me with this.
Many thanks,
