reception, at the RGS-IBG. Professor Bob Jessop is speaking on the theme of
STATES IN SPACE: GRAMSCI AND GEOGRAPHY in the Downs Restaurant, Bramber
Building, Sussex University, Brighton.

ANTIPODE GRADUATE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP, 2000-2001
Graduate students in radical geography are invited to apply for this
year-long award of $2000, including a free three-year indvidual subscription
to ANTIPODE.
The successful candidate will be a current doctoral student working in any
field of radical geographical scholarship. Applications are especially
encouraged from the developing world and/or from those traditionally
marginalised in the academy.
The ANTIPODE Graduate Student Scholarship provides resources to attend an
international conference and to cover additional research expenses during a
12 month period beginning no later than October 2000.

by 31 March 2000. A decision will be made by the ANTIPODE Editorial Board
in April 2000. All applicants will be notified of the result in May 2000.
