Dear Paul,
I will try to convey your point at the meeting and post any feedback
to the list afterwards.
At the ILT workshop during ALTC99 there was some resistance from many
TLT Officers to become "associates" since this could be interpreted
as a second class member, thus reinforcing the distance between
academics and support people. I am sure this will be once again
matter of debate, and I hope we can come to some clearer decision
after the meeting.
My understanding on the administrative fee is that it will be the
same as the membership fee, thus making it a double fee on the first
year, but hopefully we can confirm this too.
