TRADITIONS AND TRANSITIONS IN SCOTTISH PHILOSOPHY
CALL FOR PAPERS
THE CENTRE FOR the History of Ideas in Scotland is running a series of
one-day conferences on George Davie, Alastair MacIntyre and John
Macmurray to take place on 29th January 2000, 19th February 2000 and
11th March 2000 respectively. The purpose of this series is to
encourage critical reappraisals both of individual thinkers and of
their influence on subsequent thought; broadly, the question of a
tradition of Scottish philosophy. Abstracts of 500 words should be
sent to Laurence Nicoll by December 3rd 1999
