Rowland: yes, it IS a fine book (Miles, M. and Huberman, A. (1994, 2nd ed.)).
But, so far as qualitative methods/techniques & analysis, isn't a bit lopsided
toward the objective framework? When we used it in a seminar on qualitative
methods @ SUNYAlbany last year, I was struck by how much it reminded me of what
I do when I do quantitative stuff.
Don't get me wrong. I feel it is a quite useful text. It helps mostly w/data
displays. I would certainly supplement this book w/others for a well-rounded
study... ;-} rap.
