Dear Bernhard
Meg Morris co-authored an article that may of use to you:
Morris M, Iansek R, Churchyard A (1998) The role of the physiotherapist in
quantifying movement fluctuations in Parkinson's Disease Australian Journal
of Physiotherapy 44, 105 - 114
She cites various papers as evidence for the reliability and validity of
several measures which might be of interest to you.
I have come across but not read (!) a paper which might also be worth a
look:
van Dillen LR, Roach KE (1988) Interrater reliability of a clinical scale of
rigidity Physical Therapy 68, 11, 1679 - 1681.
Hope this helps,

Subject: Parkinson's disease rating
For a research project into Parkinson's disease I am looking for ways of
measuring clinically tremor, rigidity and bradykinesia. It appears that
the options are either sections off the Webster scale or sub sections off
the Unified Parkinson's disease rating scale. I have not found evaluations
in terms of reliability or validity for either.
My question to the list:
- Does anyone have a better suggestion for measuring/rating tremor,
rigidity and bradykinesia?
- Does anyone have information on reliability and/or validity for the above
scales
Thank you for your time
