Dear all
I am currently writing a review about evidence based physiotherapy and would
be grateful if anyone had any relevant information about the number of
randomised controlled trials evaluating the role of physiotherapy in upper
limb orthopaedic conditions. I have already consulted Medline, PEDro and
the Centre for Evidence Based Physiotherapy (EBP)in Sydney but wondered if
we have a national centre for EBP in the UK, or are we lagging behind other
professions such as medicine, nursing and dental?!
It would appear that many randomised controlled trials have looked at
physiotherapy in regard to low back pain and electrotherapy modalities, but
there seems to be few studies addressing the role of physiotherapy in many
other common orthopaedic conditions such as upper limb fractures, shoulder
dislocations etc. If anyone knows any different could they please let me
know?!
Many thanks in anticipation of your help!!
