Dear Learned Ones-
I am teaching Bede for the first time next term, and looking for an
effective way to go about it. [Towit, I found R. Landes' post of a few
weeks ago extraordinarily helpful and interesting. My thanks to him.]
Looking for a few "surgical strike" pieces of secondary work to get a
handle on Bede, someone I met at a conferece suggested an article by Roger
Ray called "Lex Rera Historiae" but the volume of essays he directed me to
did not include it. Does anyone know it, and can anyone give me the proper
citation? Also, any other tips (citations or otherwise) on undergraduate
approaches to Bede would be welcome. Thanks-
