The Higher Education/British Library Task Force, through UKOLN, invites
tenders for a feasibility study into potential mechanisms for co-ordinating
the development of the distributed national collection (DNC) of library
research resources, including the need for and feasibility of the creation
of an Office for the Distributed National Collection.

The maximum value of the contract is expected to be no more than Sterling
30K.
A draft report will be required by mid-April, and a final report by early
June 2000.
Four hard copies of the proposals (maximum 8 sides of A4) together with an

and received by 5 pm on 17 December.
Interviews for short-listed applicants will take place in London on 10
January 2000.
