Dear all
A couple of years ago, I had the inestimable pleasure of listening to Mary
Warnock speaking at an ESRC funded seminar at City University.
Amongst the 'progressive' thoughts of this 'giant' of philosophy was
termination of disabled foetuses (if that is the correct plural???) and how
d.p. should not bite the hands that fed them, because our position in
society depended on the philanthropy of the 'normal'.
I didn't hear Warnock's radio interview, but on past performance (both the
seminar and Warnock's published work) I can't say that it has kept me awake!
Was this a case of another philosopher's U-turn, like Peter Singer's
conversion on the road to Princeton (tee hee)?
Regards
Richard
