REVIEW OF THE GUIDELINES FOR DC WORKING GROUPS
At the Dublin Core Advisory Committee meeting held in Frankfurt on 24
October, it was noted that some members of working groups are not familiar
with the "Guidelines for Dublin Core Working Groups" which were issued in
June. This document may be found at:
http://www.oclc.org/oclc/research/projects/core/about/wgguidelines-19990602
.htm
The Advisory Committee has set up a small group (consisting of Warwick
Cathro, Simon Cox and myself) to seek the views of the DC community (and
working group members in particular) on whether these guidelines are
meeting the needs of the community, and to gather suggestions for revising
the guidelines.
The purpose of this message is to seek your views and suggestions. Please
read the
guidelines (they are quite brief) and send any comments directly to Diann
Rusch-Feja by Monday 29 November.
Thanks for your input!
Diann Rusch-Feja
The group will revise the guidelines following consideration of your
comments.
