you in London, or within commuting distance of London (which is
the
southern half of England these days) that the following is taking

Millennium Wheel Was the Spectacle, Now
Comes the Substance
World Famous Gandhian Activist Visits London
Following on from the protest at the Millennium
Wheel against Large Dam building in India, one of
the leading Gandhian activists in India, Medha
Patkar, will be visiting London. She is on her way
back to India after a speaking tour of the United
States. Medha Patkar has spearheaded the
resistance against the Narmada Valley dam project
for the past 14 years, and is also a member of the
National Alliance of People’s Movements in India.
She will be in London on Friday 26th November
1999.
Her timetable is as follows:
10-11-30AM. Medha Patkar will be available for
press interviews in central London to discuss the
situation in the Narmada Valley/NBA,
the National Alliance of Peoples Movements.
