I am sure that I am not the only person who found David Crouch's response
to Raju Das's message about Kevin Cox left a horrible taste in my mouth.
Lawrence Berg's message yesterday said that offensive messages must stop
and I expect he will be writing to David Crouch to underline that point and
get an apology.
I thought that the whole reason for the early responses to Raju's messages
was to ensure that a serious engagement was entered into rather than
declare open season.
To criticise totalising calls to arms on intellectual or political grounds
is one thing; to make snidey comments is quite another. The hoary old fact
is that the personal IS political - 'credible' big P Politics are no
alternative to participatory and emancipatory little p politics.
