Two Chairs and Two Lectureships in Computing Science
Applications are invited for two chairs (full professors) and two lectureships in Computing Science. One chair and one lectureship are new posts as part of a strategic initiative. The other two appointments are replacements for existing staff.
An applicant's research interests should relate well to activities within the Department, or within the University generally. However applicants in other research areas would also be considered. The main research activities in Computing Science are currently applications of Formal Methods and Neural Computing.
The Department runs Single Honours degrees in Computing Science and in Software Engineering, as well as many Combined Honours programmes. The Department teaches an M.Sc. in Information Technology, and contributes to a further M.Sc. Applicants will be expected to contribute fully to teaching.
Applicants for the chairs are expected to have a substantial track record in research publications and grants. Salary will be by negotiation, with a minimum of L36,401 p.a. Applicants for the lectureships are expected to have a track record in research. Appointments will be made at Lecturer A or B level within established scales (L17,238 - L22,579 p.a., L23,521 - L30,065 p.a.).
