hi Roddy
Can you reliably know how many people watch a TV program? The TV might
be on but nobody watching it - or it by be on with 10 people watching.
The audience estimates is based on statistical sampling (interviews,
boxes on the TV, etc.) I imagine the web auditing people have similar
approaches.
Another possible form of persuasion is info on the number of sites
linking to you.
