Looking for an interesting position in the area of econophysics?
Norwich Union Dublin is offering training via research to young, highly
motivated researchers who are interested in applying their expertise to the
financial and insurance sectors of commerce. Applicants should have
completed a doctorate degree in a relevant area such as those given below.
Limited opportunities will be open to candidates holding Batchelor degrees
or equivalent who will also study for a higher degree in econophysics in
association with Trinity College Dublin.
All candidates should hold a first class academic record and demonstrate a
genuine interest in financial markets and investment. C/C++ programming is a
pre-requisite.
Areas of prior research and training that are especially applicable include:
- theoretical or computational physics
- statistical physics
- simulation and Monte Carlo methods
- stochastic calculus and applied probability theory
- finite differential equations
- non-linear physics
Successful candidates can expect to obtain positions within the financial
services commercial sector at the end of their fellowship.
