My point was that if the gay gene is out and if Singer follows his
philosophy that he has also to condone the infanticide based on the
characteristic sexual orientation as many parents don't want a gay kid (by
the way that's what James Watson is saying also related to predictive
testing of gayness if available). And the above scenario would have the
gay community at arms and Singer would be in much hotter water as he is
now as for the most part societies are happy to get rid of disability but
gay might be a different thing in western countries.
