Dear All,
although not really a registry in the full sense that Tom Baker has been
defining it in his process papers, I would like to announce the "remake" of
the German Metadata Registry at the following address:
http://www.mpib-berlin.mpg.de/DOK/metadata/gmr/gmr1e.htm
The German translation of the Dublin Core Elements according to Version 1.1
is at
http://www.mpib-berlin.mpg.de/DOK/metadata/gmr/metadatagd.htm
For some reason the earlier German Translation of the Dublin Core 1.0 is
not at its proper site (linked to from the above page), but it will be back
there if someone wants to refer to it by tomorrow.
Please note the international aspect of the sites for subject specific
metadata: education, medical, physics and mathematical. ("Subject or
domain specific metadata use").
http://www.mpib-berlin.mpg.de/DOK/metadata/gmr/sdsrege.htm
I would like to receive any and all comments on this site! Although a few
shorter descriptions are available only in German, the English counterpart
will follow shortly. That's one of the drawbacks of bilingual sites - no
two languages ever match exactly!!!
Hope to see many of you at DC 7!
